Tim Sheaffer   Sheaffer Designs

Picture
My interests have always been in the relationship between architectural and organic. (from a straight line to a curve). That conflict between ego and self, manmade and natural, yin and yang.  In my understanding of design, a good mix of straight lines and curves work well together. I love creating a moment out of things I find, whether it is in art or landscaping.

I am a self-taught painter who works primarily with acrylic on both canvas and acid dyes on silk. My art reflects my passion for dance and movement of the body, the female form and its beauty, and my encounters with other cultures, particularly African culture. I paint because it is who I am.

"I am a glassist. I create sculptural and functional art by kiln-firing glass. I dream in color, patterns, and symbols and these dreams actively drive the direction of my designs."

I am an artist and an Art teacher.  I have dabbled  in a little bit of
everything "art" related throughout my life. I consider myself a Multi-Media Artist as I have many mediums I enjoy working with. I studied Art in High School and graduated from Southampton College in New York with a degree in Art  Education .  I currently teach private  art  lessons  at  my studio in Mooresville,  NC.  Although I love teaching children art, I also love working on my own art projects; mixing media , pushing limits,  and up-cycling my “finds” into new art creations.

I am an intuitive energy artist. When placing the acrylic ink on the paper I invite it to dance with me. I don't force it in any direction, I encourage it to go where it may. It is a delightful dance.
My Mission Statement:
"Celebrating the Strength, Passion and Divinity of Women through Color"

A wealth of diverse cultural experience makes my designs unique. Integrate work of art to compliment the beauty, elegance and simplicity to women of all age.
Working as an International Travel Consultant for the past twenty-one years, my experience with different languages and culture has enriched my passion in Arts in General.
I match Jewelry and purses, understanding the treasure of putting on that special piece and feeling it resonate emotionally, artistically, and personally. My collection endeavors to integrate color, shape and texture of semi-precious stones and fabrics to form a work of art.

"I love the challenge of catching that unguarded moment,
.............a fleeting expression... revealing to others
.............the way I see the world.
.............It's a way for me to connect and take that second look...
............and appreciate all the beauty of each unique individual."

"My photography is centered around moments in my life when I have stopped to look at the beauty and uniqueness around me - whether it is one of my grandsons discovering something for the first time or an opportunity to capture life in motion with the lens of my camera." ~Cindy Connelly
